Shinjuku Gyoen
Shinjuku Gyoen is a modern Western garden representing the Meiji period, combining a French formal garden, an English landscape garden, and a Japanese garden. It was built as an imperial garden in 1906. The garden is 58.3 hectares in size and has a circumference of 3.5 km, including a formal garden lined with plane trees. In the lush green garden with about 10,000 trees, you can enjoy the nature of each season. In the garden, there are historical buildings such as the former Western-style rest house and the former Goryotei, where you can see the history of the imperial family.
