Sensoji Temple
Sensoji Temple, which has a history of nearly 1400 years, is famous for its large red lantern Kaminarimon. It is said that it began with the appearance of the principal image in 628. In 645, Kaito Katsu repaired Kannon-do. Since then, it has been hit by natural disasters many times and has been rebuilt each time. In the Edo period, it became a base of common people's culture. The main hall was destroyed in the Great Tokyo Air Raid in 1945, but it was rebuilt and continues to this day. Nakamise is lined with many shops, and people from all over the world come to worship.
