Ginza
The name "Ginza" came to be used as a common name in 1603 when the silver coin mint was moved to the new Ryogaecho. Since the construction of Japan's first railway in 1972, it has prospered as a town where cutting-edge goods and merchants gather, and it has become a town where you can enjoy the view of the townscape and window-shop on a walk called "Ginbura". Today, it is lined with department stores, various restaurants, and landmarks, and is bustling with many tourists as a place where old-fashioned Ginza culture and the latest news come and go.
